Dale Murphy, Tommy John, Don Mattingly and Thurman Munson each got three or fewer votes from the 16-member panel. I mean, c'mon. That just ain't right.

Dale Murphy was among four candidates who got fewer than six votes from the 16-member Modern Era Committee (vote totals were only given for the six who got at least six votes). Modern Era Committee next convenes December 2022 to vote on candidates for the HOF Class of 2023.

Marvin Miller and Ted Simmons have been elected to the Hall of Fame. Simmons currently serves as one of the Braves' Major League scouts. Dale Murphy's next chance will come in 2022.
